cure yeast infection I’ve been using Vagisil for awhile now, but it doesn’t seem to work. I was reading that yogurt can really help. Has anyone ever tried it? Did it cure the infection? Please help.
Vagisil only controls symptoms, like itching. Try an over the counter medication like Monistat and use it exactly according to the package directions. That is easier, less messy and more reliable than yogurt.

yeast infection I had a yeast infect for like a week and was treating it naturally. I started spotting about to start my period and the symptoms (I won’t mention them I’m sure you know what I’m talking about) stopped. Is it normal to get a yeast infection right before your period? I’ve never noticed it before but maybe some itching. I’m 22 if it matters.
Thanks in advance for your answers.
No sex or anything in a month or so.
No, I’ve never noticed a pattern of getting a yeast infection right before my period. I know having a period can make a yeast infection go away on its own as having your period changes your pH.
Signs of yeast infections:
White, cottage cheese-like discharge
Swelling and pain around the vulva
Intense itching
Signs of bacterial vaginosis:
A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge
A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap
Itching or burning
Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva

yeast infection What happens if you have a yeast infection and run out of antibiotics? Do you explode with the yeast of 10,000 bavarian hard pretzels?
If you have an untreated yeast infection, that is serious, you can later on come in contact with preblems conceiving a baby. Becareful with monistat it made me extremely itchy and i couldnt sleep alll night because of it. Putting plain yogurt on your area helps alot!! Sounds nasty but it helps

yeast infection treatment Is it just to prevent messes? Can I use it during the day? It’s not like my body knows what time of day it is. I’m using the ovules btw, not the cream. I always use ovules.
It simply keeps the medicine still while it goes to work. You don´t have to opt in to Monistat however. There are plenty of safer and more dependable natural treatments…
The symptoms (you may not experience all of them):
- white cottage cheese-like discharge
- some odor
- dryness (can cause bleeding)
- digestive problems
- itchiness
- burning urination
- painful intercourse
- a feeling of just not being "normal"
Here are some safe, natural cures you can implement.
- avoid scented soaps
- avoid sugars and complex carbs for a week
- air out the infected area while you’re sleeping at night
- add grapefruit extract to your water during the day (balances hormones)
- eat probiotics like cottage cheese and yogurt
- shower frequently
-drink lots of water and eat plenty of fiber to flush the infection

yeast infection treatment I used an over the counter treatment for a yeast infection friday night, and today my vagina itches really really really badly. It’s just kind of like this intense itch that happens all of a sudden, and it itches even more than before when I hadn’t used the cream! Why is this happening? Did it make things even worse down there for me? Any helpful advice is appreciated
Yeah, going to a doctor is a good idea. But, if you can’t do this, try to get some relief from the itching by sitting in a bath with vinegar in it. Fill the tub to hip height with warm water and then add 1/2 cup vinegar (you can use apple cider vinegar). This should help with the itching.
Also, try a different brand of anti-fungal yeast infection cream. It sounds like you may be allergic or are reacting to the one you tried.
Read the package to see that the different cream is a different anti-fungal. For example, monistat is miconazole and canesten is clotrimazole. Check for the active ingredient.
If none of this helps, check with your doctor. Good luck!

cure yeast infection Can anyone give me some advice as how to cure a yeast infection?
Hello,
For years some doctors have advised women to insert live yogurt into the vagina to introduce Lactobacillus acidophilus bacterium and also produce a more acidic environment to help fight infection. Sometimes, freeze-dried Lactobacillus acidophilus bacterium containing pessary is inserted into the vagina for even more pronounced results. Continue this for an extra day after you get cured.
There are other effective natural cures for yeast infections available that can help to soothe the discomfort and frustration of a yeast infection, resolving the infection without the use of prescriptions and OTC drugs. They contain ingredients such as Cymbopogon citratus (Lemon grass), Calendula officinalis, and Tabebuia impetiginosa (Pau d’arco bark). All have antibacterial and anti fungal properties that effectively remove toxins and help to support the overall natural maintenance systems in the body.
You may try this hugely popular natural remedy for Candida infections http://healthherbsandnutrition.com/products/candidate.htm
Hope all that helped
Good Luck!

cure yeast infection I was wondering if taking the pill diflucan for a yeast infection would be enough to completely cure it, or would I need to use a cream for the outside? I took the diflucan 3 days ago (it says it can take between 3-5 days to work) and the discharge has stopped but my vulva is still very irritated and red. Would I need a cream for that or will the diflucan take care of it in a couple more days?
The cream is just to soothe the outside and the vulvular area. But the diflucan should be enough to heal everything, just give it time. When i get diflucan for my yeast infections that’s all i use because i hate how messy and sticky the cream is.

yeast infection I was just making pitas with my mom (I’m homeschooled) and I’m wondering what the difference between yeast that you put in bread and a yeast infection is.
A strain;
There are over 150 strains that can cause infection and only a few strains that are used in baking all are different strains, but they are of the same Phylum, and are all fungal.
Saccharomyces exiguus is the most common strain of cooking yeast.
Candidiasis is the strain that is most often the yeast found in an infection.
According to Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yeast_infection
"Candidiasis, commonly called yeast infection or thrush, is a fungal infection (mycosis) of any of the Candida species, of which Candida albicans is the most common.Candidiasis encompasses infections that range from superficial, such as oral thrush and vaginitis, to systemic and potentially life-threatening diseases. Candida infections of the latter category are also referred to as candidemia and are usually confined to severely immunocompromised persons, such as cancer, transplant, and AIDS patients.
Superficial infections of skin and mucosal membranes by Candida causing local inflammation and discomfort are however common in many human populations. While clearly attributable to the presence of the opportunistic pathogens of the genus Candida, candidiasis describes a number of different disease syndromes that often differ in their causes and outcomes….
The genus Candida includes about 150 different species, however, only a few are known to cause human infections: C. albicans is the most significant pathogenic species. Other Candida species pathogenic in humans include C. tropicalis, C. glabrata, C. krusei, C. parapsilosis, C. dubliniensis, and C. lusitaniae."
According to Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cooking_yeast
"Baker’s yeast is the common name for the strains of yeast commonly used as a leavening agent in baking bread and related products, where it converts the fermentable sugars present in the dough into carbon dioxide and ethanol. The use of potatoes, water from potato boiling, eggs, or sugar in a bread dough accelerates the growth of yeasts. Salt and fats such as butter slow down yeast growth. The majority of the yeast used in baking is Saccharomyces cerevisiae, the same species commonly used in alcoholic fermentation. Additionally, Saccharomyces exiguus (also known as S. minor) is a wild yeast found on plants, fruits, and grains that is occasionally used for baking; it is not, however, generally used in a pure form, but comes from being propagated in a sourdough starter."
According to Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saccharomyces_cerevisiae
"Saccharomyces cerevisiae is a species of budding yeast. It is perhaps the most useful yeast owing to its use since ancient times in baking and brewing. It is believed that it was originally isolated from the skins of grapes (one can see the yeast as a component of the thin white film on the skins of some dark-colored fruits such as plums; it exists among the waxes of the cuticle). It is one of the most intensively studied eukaryotic model organisms in molecular and cell biology, much like Escherichia coli as the model prokaryote. It is the microorganism behind the most common type of fermentation. Saccharomyces cerevisiae cells are round to ovoid, 5–10 micrometres in diameter. It reproduces by a division process known as budding."
