yeast infection I’ve had this yeast infection for a long time. My gynecologist gave me a pill for it, but it didn’t work. I tried a suppository and that didn’t work either. I’m sick of this! Also, my yeast infection spread to my boyfriend. Is there a way to cure this never ending thing?!? And is there something that my boyfriend can be treated with as well?
My OB/GYN doctor suggestion to me–Use PLAIN yogurt (no fruit) You need to get a vaginal applicator (I asked my pharmacist for ones), fill with yogurt and put into the vagina. Leave in all night. It worked. Do this for a few days–maybe a week?? Don’t remember. Might work for a penis also??? Sorry to be so explicit if you know all of this.

yeast infection the different symptoms. how can you tell the different symptoms.
i kno a yeast infection is itchy, and irrtation.
and warts is itchy irritating and white spots.
but i seem to think a yeast infection has a little of white spots also. which makes it llok like a yeast infection.
A yeast infection has a white discharge, not white spots.
warts are going to be present on the skin on and around your vulva, and they may not be obvious to you. A yeast infection is internal, with a white discharge, and sometimes itching or burning in your vagina, and around your labia. They are two completely different problems with different symptoms. It can also be likely that you don’t feel or see warts.

yeast infection My gyno gave me some vaginal dialators to use because I have a problem with muscle spasms down there. I recently used one and then realized that I had a yeast infection. I’ve since gotten rid of it with some Vagisil, but am not sure how I should go about cleaning the dialator so I don’t give myself another yeast infection. Has anyone ever had this problem before? What’s the best thing to do?
Can you clean it with bleach…………………and rinse well ?

yeast infection I have never had a yeast infection before and I didn’t know if my husband should be taking some precautions to so he doesn’t end up with it. What can he do to prevent it from spreading to him?
Theoretically, yes they are very contagious.
So it would be much better to be on the safe side and make sure that you get rid of it first before having sex.
That said, if he is circumcised male to have a yeast infection he is slightly less likely to get it than if he isn’t but still it is only a small percentage change and the best bet is to keep the passion done and get him to keep the snake in the cage until things have passed.

yeast infection I’m 16, and am pretty sure I have a yeast infection. I don’t live with my mom, and I don’t want to tell my dad to go buy anything and I can’t drive. I think it’d be weird to tell anyone to go buy anything for it.. So what could I do to cure this or if you have to buy something what do you get for it? Help please. I don’t want it to get worse.
I understand not wanting to talk to your dad about this but since it is a normal thing that can happen to all women, you shouldn’t feel shy about it. You can pick up an over the counter treatment at Walgreens or such, I have heard that drinking a lot of cranberry juice can help flush it out. Another thing I heard of is inserting plain yogurt in the vagina, theory being that the yeast cultures in the yogurt will kill off the yeast in the vagina. It wasn’t easy getting in there first of all, keeping it there, so I didn’t have much luck. Here is an article that I ran across that might be beneficial for you. It has a lot of good advice like not wearing tight clothes, cotton underwear, and keeping a healthy diet and such. Give it a glance over and reconsider approaching your dad.

yeast infection I am on the 10th week of pregnancy and I have a vaginal yeast infection. My doctor has prescribed me metronidazole and miconazole nitrate. I read about the metronidazole and found out that it PROBABLY can be harmfull (birth defects). So, now I would like to know how harmfull can be the yeast infection if I do not treat it during the pregnancy. Or may be the is a way to treat it with something save?
When doctors decide on what medicine to give you, they weight the pro’s and con’s of the medicine. Also when you say that is can be harmful this means that they did a test and most likely 1 out of 400,000 babies had something wrong when they were born, even if it had nothing to do with the medicine they still have to put that caution on there. If you don’t treat it your going to be in pain and i don’t recommend doing that. Talk to your doctor but again he knows your pregnant and if he thought it would hurt the baby he wouldn’t give it to you in the first place. Good Luck!

yeast infection I’m not sure if I have a yeast infection or not I do have some itching and white vaginal discharge but I don’t know if it could be something else. Should I be precautious and just use the medicine?
Will it cause something else to happen to me if I don’t have one?
No, it will take away the itchyness.

yeast infection On Monday my doc tor prescribed me with a 3-day treatment for my yeast infection, it’s called Clotrimazole 3. It’s this cream thing. Anyway, I just finished it last night. How long should I wait to have sex?
I would wait at least 5 days to a week. That may be over doing it, but it’s better to be safe then to spread your infection to your boyfriend or whomever. If it seems like its gone but it’s really not yet you could spread it when you could have waited.
