yeast infection treatment I’m 33 weeks preg. today and I know infections can cause premature labor this late which is why I need help fast! I was diagnosed w/ a yeast infection and prescribed a 3-day suppository. I’ve heard 3 day treatments don’t work during preg. and that what I was prescribed can cause birth defects (although so rarely it’s not considered a risk…not good enough for me). The clinic where I go has proven incompetant many times (I have no other choice, so I really can’t do anything but do most of my own research, which is why I ask a lot of questions here), and I don’t trust them with this. Are vinegar or baking soda baths safe/effective during pregnancy? Does anyone else know of a non-drug treatment which is safe while pregnant? For those who will attack me, I am not going against doctors’ orders and being neglegent…I’m honestly trying to do what’s best for my baby’s health, which is not always what is advised by these docs. Thanks to everyone who offers advice.
Sweetie, listen. when your pregnant your body goes thru so many different changes it crazy but when i was pregnant i did get , a very common in pregnancy, an infection. it was kind of a yeast infection, cause it had all the syptoms but it was and actual "yeast infection" . My obgyn gave me a suppository, just like yours, for 3 days and the infection is gone. I got this infection twice.
My son is 100% health and he’s great. Im pretty sure that a doctor or clinic would give you anything that would harm you baby. Believe me when i say that i know what your going through. You want everything to be perfect with your baby. but im pretty sure that what you have is what i had.
take ur medication and it would go away in 3 days.

yeast infection treatment My doctor gave me these gel ups to use for my yeast infection and a one time pill. Soon enough towards the end of my treatment i noticed a little pink when i wiped and when i was done with the 7 day treatment it became brown. My bestest idea would be that this is blood, but i want to know why! Should i worry? Can this be a period? this has been happening for a week now. Theres no itch, smell, or pain of anykind. What Sould i do.
Are you sure it’s blood? It could be the last of the cream coming out that you inserted for the yeast infection itself. It could be your period. Are you just now starting for the first time? The very first periods sometimes do come with spotting here and there and not having monthly periods.
It has happened to me before, I did nothing and it went away.
I don’t think you should worry.

yeast infection treatment On Monday I started a yeast infection treatment. (over-the counter medicine) The treatment is to be used 7 nights straight.
I’m just curious: even if the infection is cleared up after the 7 night treatment is used, should I try something else right after (home remedy) to safeguard it? Or just wait and see if the medicine works?
If you want to help prevent future infections, I would start taking an acidophilous tablet, even just once a day. You don’t need to wait until the end of the OTC treatment. I like the Nature Made refrigerated ones, but whatever. Rebuilding that good bacteria in your body will help prevent yeast infections and also keep your digestive track healthy.

yeast infection treatment The other day I used the treatment and it was so irritating and almost painful I had to rinse it out of me. Has anyone ever had this happen?
I do, and something similar happened to me, then i have to go to the emergency room; my doc said that this medication is not appropiate for all kind of irritation, so if i were u i would ask an expert about it.

yeast infection treatment Symptons are:
-White thick like dishcharge not very liquidy
- itchy on top
-slight odor
yeast infection symptons?
If I use a yeast infection treatment and it turns out not to be one, is that dangerous?
I don’t think it would be dangerous, but if otc treatment doesn’t work make an appointment with your gyno.

yeast infection treatment I think I have my first yeast infection. I went to the drug store and got a 1 dose yeast infection treatment. So now I realize after reading I should have gotten the 3 or 7 day treatment. Can I go get the other treatment or do I need to wait? How long before will feel relief? I have finals in 3 days and need to study but it is hard with this uncomfortable feeling. Plus is the medication suppose to "ooze" out?
Talk to someone at the chemist where you brought this from, second yes the medication will leak or ooze out so you will feel yucky down stairs till it al comes out, you should feel a difference in the next couple of days! If it continues ask someone at the chemist if you should try a longer treatment!

yeast infection treatment I have (what I think is) a yeast inffection and am treating it with an over the counter dipository and cream for the itching. I have never had to treat a yeast infection before, they have always been mild and gone away on their own. It’s a 3 day treatment and last night was the first day. Today I am bleeding! I know that the package said that there would be some extra discharge, but is this normal??
I have been on birth control pills for about 6 months now and in a faithful relationship for over 2 years now. I do not have health insurance, so I really don’t want to go to the doctor unless I absolutely have to.
Please help!!!
One of the causes of yeast infection is birth control pills so it doesn’t surprise me that you are experiencing it now. Also nylon undies and even diet can play a part in them recurring.
The bleeding is not anything to worry over as pinprick bleeding can happen.
If thats not enough email me and I can give you a few places to read up on it.

yeast infection treatment I treated myself the other day with the Monistat day/night one use treatment. It worked last time for me so I used that one again. Well, here I am 5 days later and still have symptoms. What do you ladies recommend? Maybe I should pick up one of those 7-day treatments. This is only my 2nd yeast infection. Both times they came on after the use of antibiotics.
yup, those one day wonder treatments, only work once, then the yeast becomes resistant to them. Antibiotics often cause yeast infections, you need to use a seven day treatment and eat yogurt to replace some of your lost flora and fauna.

yeast infection treatment I used Monistat 1 the night before last and it burned SO bad all day yesterday. I called my gyno and he called me in a diflucan. I’ve used both of these medications before, but I guess I’ve never had a yeast infection this bad. I did the diflucan last night. I’m not burning anymore, but now I’m itching bad and I have light spotting. Is this normal?
I don’t have any idea about your problem. However, I came across a blog about yeast infection. Hope you find your answer there.

yeast infection treatment I heard there were a lot of different kinds or yeast infection treatments, like Monistat and Vagisil, I want a treatment with a test, wipes and such to help irratation, and just a kind of medicine that works. I don’t know if any kind out there exists with everything, and I don’t know if I should buy a 3 day kit or a 7 day kit, can anybody recommend anything for me?
Hi there,
I would highly suggest you consider some natural treatments and also look into eliminating the source of your yeast infections which is always Candida.
There are many things you need to start doing and addressing if you are suffering from a yeast infection. To start, do the following:
1. Wear loose clothing and undergarments, oxygen kills yeast, going commando and wearing nothing down there if possible is even better.
2. Get some unsweetened yogurt and rub it onto a tampon, insert the tampon and do this continually until the yeast infection is gone.
3. Cut out any and all sugar, alcohol and yeast from your diet. All three will promote the infection further.
4. Start drinking cranberry juice, pure not from concentrate with no added sugar, I know this goes against the no sugar thing but the acid content in the cranberries will alter the PH balance of your vagina and cause the yeast to die off.
5. If you can tolerate it, use a raw garlic clove and apply it to the infection, this may burn so dilute it with some olive or coconut oil, both of which can also help eliminate the yeast, especially the coconut.
6. You can also try taking some vitamin B3, many women find their infections resolve quicker when they are taking 300mg/per day.
7. Take a probiotic with at least 50 billion live cells per pill, this is key in redistributing good bacteria throughout your body, and effectively end the yeast infection. You must do this continually until you have eliminated your yeast infections and Candida entirely.
8. Lastly if all else fails, begin adding 2 cups of apple cider vinegar to a bath. Only fill the tub up high enough to submerge your genital area. Stay in the tub for 20-30 minutes at a time.
Hope this helps, the yogurt is the key really, by putting good bacteria directly on the area you will eliminate it quickly. Make sure it is unsweetened and ideally keep an eye out for a variation called Kefir which has even more beneficial bacteria in it to snuff out the infection.
When all is said and done I would suggest you research Candida and take a test to determine if you are suffering from it, as anyone who gets yeast infections has Candida. By eliminating Candida you won’t have to deal with yeast infections ever again.
